This 1965 Retreat Caravan was originally built to order and
has been lovingly restored with modern features including a
proper toilet, shower, underfloor heating and Wi-Fi!
Enjoying breathtaking views and situated in the most idyllic garden, this quaint little caravan nestles in a quiet hamlet that offers easy access to the Lakes and Dales!
Fully equipped for 2 guests, snuggle into the Tipi and soak up the view, make suppers in the pizza oven or huddle around the firepit and cook over the embers!
The kitchen area houses the sink, fridge, kettle and toaster. There is a small ‘plug in’ hob but most guests tend to BBQ or eat out - especially as there is a wonderful pub just down the lane.
The caravan is equipped with a fully plumbed-in loo and shower together with underfloor heating, towels and toiletries are also provided.
The shower room is compact with a tiled seat and would be a squeeze for the
‘high and mighty’
Outside there is a paved patio with table and chairs together with a lawned area leading to the walled pond and private jetty.
Take your escapism to the next level- sit under the stars and toast yourselves by the roaring fire pit and cook your favourite dish on the grill above.
To the rear of the caravan is our walled vegetable garden and guests are welcome to forage for whatever is in season.
A new addition is the ‘grand’ wooden Tipi - a wonderful world of make-believe or a haven of peace to enjoy that favourite book.
Dare to be different....stay away from the world and experience true peace and quiet!
The Idyllic location is easily accessible from Oxenholme Railway Station and Junction 36 on the M6.
Private parking is available and guests are advised to store empty suitcases etc in their car or in the Tipi. There is also a ‘boot box’ under the caravan for muddy wellies etc.
Don’t let chilly days put you off - our heating system and hot water bottles will keep you cosy whatever the weather
The caravan is a true little gem and is at the bottom of a very large garden so your privacy is assured. We welcome many returning visitors, however, it is important that guests recognise that storage space is at a premium with just a small wardrobe so please do travel light!
By the same token, we would stress that it
is suited to those of average height and build, the caravan is compact with limited headroom - the high and mighty will
need to duck
The two cushioned bench seats provide comfort
whether you're dining or just relaxing in the evening
after a busy day exploring The Lakes
Cheerful ‘Emma Bridgwater ‘ fabrics have been used in
soft furnishings, creating a ‘get away from the world’
haven of peace and tranquillity
The two bench seats open up to create a large
king-size bed and all bedding and towels can be

Hello!
I live in Cumbria with my husband and we adore the countryside which is our home.
With 5 grown-up children who live in all corners of the UK, we are lucky to be able to
welcome them all to our little corner of paradise. We enjoy welcoming visitors from all over the world and are always happy to help out with local hints and tips.
